Not Your Momma’s Wallpaper
This week we’d like share some thoughts on wallpaper and all the creative places that it can be used. Wallpaper, as you know, hasn’t always had the most wonderful reputation but, in the past couple of years it’s experienced a resurgence with hip new looks. We love it as a focal point or accent on the walls, the ceiling or your favorite cabinet!
Our first example comes from a recent project we worked on locally. Not known for being the prettiest room in the house, this water closet got the fab treatment! The floral wallpaper has an uptown, modern twist thanks to the large scale of the print.

The ladies of Annsley Design were recently featured over at desire to inspire and we loved the way they used wallpaper in their projects! In cozy little corners? On the ceiling? LOVE.

Another great application is to wallpaper the inside of a cabinet or shelf for a pop of color and personality like designer Jamie Meares did in her home.

Katie Ridder’s wallpaper is some of our favorite to use thanks to the beautiful patterns and colors, like the ones below. It’s always so hard to choose!

Here’s a slightly more classic installation, using Katie’s papers, that we did for a client in their powder room. This particular paper is from the “Oiseau” collection and it makes us smile every time we see it!

After seeing the possibilities, we hope you’ll give wallpaper a second thought!
